This discipline system is designed to provide employees with opportunities to correct objectionable behaviors or to improve job performance. This system should be executed by the HR Director.

Verbal Warning

When an employees needs disciplinary action, the first step is a verbal warning

The employee’s manager will set a meeting with the employee.

In this meeting the manager gives feedback to the employee about questionable behaviors, conduct or performance.  The manager then listens to the employee’s explanation for their behavior and then engages the employee in helping to devise a plan for improvement.

Verbal Warning sessions are confidential affairs. The Verbal Warning form should be completed and signed and placed in the employee’s folder.

Written Warning

Termination 

When an employee’s actions, conduct or performance as not improved via the steps above termination is the final step.

The employee’s manager will set a meeting with the employee.

In this meeting the Manager will be brief and to the point explaining the termination letter.  The Manager will give the employee a copy of the termination letter and their final paycheck (if it applies)

Termination sessions are confidential affairs. The Written Warning form should be completed and signed and placed in the employee’s folder. . Once an employee is terminated, please follow the off boarding system to ensure all tasks are completed.
