tips: focus on a tight core and no heads sticking out – it is important that athletes can hold a hollow body position while passing through a handstand – also focus on arms shoulder width apart, toes pointed and legs together

  1. Round-off to knees

⅚ Tumble, Tumble 100, Tumble 200

videohttps://vimeo.com/280649278

tips: focus on the athlete using their shoulders to push their chest up and make sure athletes are not arching when snapping – athletes MUST be able to do this same drill to their stomach on a crash mat before attempting to go to their knees – also ensure that athletes finish with their arms up by their ears, tight and straight – don’t let athletes stick their butts out or sit back on their feet at the end

  2. Round-off from knee to knees on large crash mat:

Tumble 200

video:” https://vimeo.com/284257425/0627937750

tips: ensure that the athlete is keeping their chin tucked in when reaching for the roundoff (non-neutral head position will result in a crooked round-off) – ensure that the athlete is pulling their arms up quickly (using their shoulders) and that their core and hips are engaged – their hips should drive forward on the landing

  1. Round-off off incline to hollow body on crash mat:

Tumble 200, Tumble 300

video: https://vimeo.com/284257628

tips: ensure that the athlete is keeping their chin tucked in when reaching for the round-off (non-neutral head position will result in a crooked round-off) – ensure that the athlete is getting their toes in as close as possible to the cheese mat when landing – arms must be on the ears the entire time – finish in a hollow position
